Safari on Windows

Umm. okay what an interesting experience.
On monday, Jobs announced Safari for windows. I was like "Oh! Cool" went over to apple.com/safari and downloaded the client. used it for about 20 minutes. Jobs said that Safari was like 1.8+ x faster than firefox and 4.8x than internet explorer. Okay Jobs how accurate are your stats when it took like 2 minutes to load the browser in the first place. then you click twice and it crashed. loaded it again to try again. it loads start page in like 2 minutes: WOW! no let's go to facebook... hmm pretty slow ... I open up firefox open up a few tabs and i get better time, mind you I didn't delete cookies and cache but still. Safari crashed on me a few times. So I said to myself, screw this ... i am happy with FF, no point switching to Safari. I understand that Safari is still a Beta but the Firefox beta was much smoother and faster. I am really not impressed with Apple on this one.
Conclusion: Installed and uninstalled in 20 minutes. I think Safari on Windows only works well if you have certain specs.

P.S. I am not the only Windows user who thought this was a load of shit.

I installed it for mac but I forgot about it haha.

Firefox for mac was THE best but it keeps crashing every ten minutes roughly... which is a bummer because it owns. I talked to smoor about it and thats when he showd me Camino which never bugs. The thing is, afari is nice but links open in other windows and it gets SO confusing, you have to apple+click everything to get stuff in tabs.

In firefox it doesn't do that, and with "camitools" you can get camino not to do that either.

I should try find an updated version of firefox and see if it bugs...

I am now browsing on Opera and I really like it although I miss some of the extensions of FF I love the speed of Opera.
I think it's also available on Mac.

my favorite is firefox. I tried opera but I don't like it...what annoys me the most about it is the scrolling. but it's good for games i guess...

as for safari...I don't think a browser really makes the difference for speed...so I'm happy with firefox.

oh, and nice to see you finally posted. was forgetting about you here on blogger...
